Wow, what an uplifting Friday celebrating change makers, entrepreneurs and influential leaders who are reshaping the future of business and technology at the Awards 2024. Whilst I didn't take take home the Women on Boards award, being a finalist was a very special moment for me and one that I'll remember for a long time. In the lead up to the awards ceremony, I reflected on my career to date, the pivotal moments that have shaped me as a lawyer and a volunteer, those that have supported me along the way and of course, my family who have been there through all the ups and downs and continue to push me to a become a better version of myself. I have the privilege to wear many hats, a partner at Bates Wells, an EDI ambassador and trustee for two wonderful charities, the Bates Wells Foundation which runs the Stephen Lloyd Awards and Praxis, for Migrants and Refugees . These roles are deeply important to me as they give me an opportunity to drive for real change and make a positive impact in society. What's been incredible for me during this journey was meeting other women, who have driven forward allyship, have had the courage to walk forward imperfectly and of course drive change.
