Maira is the Head of Computational Engineering at RED Engineering Design Ltd, where she leads a diverse international team. She is a Chartered Engineer, with expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics and data centre engineering. She volunteers with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, as Deputy Chair of their Technical Strategy Board, and is one of the Co-founding trustees of SheCanEngineer. This year, she was awarded the British Empire Medal for services to Diversity in Engineering in the King’s New Year Honours.
