Last Friday, I was truly honoured to receive the 2024 Novi Inspiring Mentor of the Year Award.
Novi Awards celebrate women and allies who’re breaking barriers in their chosen fields.

This “Inspiring Mentor” award means a lot to me. I am committed to mentoring others because I know only too well how transformative good mentoring can be.

Anyone who knows me well, knows that I’m an introvert, and I have an uneasy relationship with awards. A large part of me wants to shy away from the spotlight, but I have to say that it was truly a lovely feeling to be nominated in the first place.

Yesterday at the Novi Leadership Summit Awards, I was fortunate to experience exactly this. It was a huge privilege to be part of the wonderful event set by the empowering force that is Griselda Togobo. From the enlightening panel discussions, to the presentations made by visionary female founders and networking with inspiring women from various disciplines sharing their experiences and stories, I was struck by the energy and achievements of an amazing group of people. Congratulations to all on the success achieved!
