VIDEO PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

Required Video Submission

As part of your Novi Awards application, you have the opportunity to submit a video to support your application. This video allows you to present your story and passion in a concise format that complements your written application.

Please note: Professional production quality is NOT required. We are expecting, smartphone quality videos to ensure every has the opportunity to submit a video if they choose to.

 

Submission Process

Upload your video to YouTube
Enable the “Allow Embedding” setting
Set Privacy Settings to either Public or Unlisted (NOT Private)
Your video will be viewed by judges of the Novi Awards
Your video may be shared with the public as part of the awards as we did here, so please create content that appeals to a broad audience.

Technical Requirements

  1. Maximum length: 90 seconds

  2. Language: English

  3. Must include captions (See how to caption YouTube videos)

  4. No images of individuals without their permission

  5. No images of children (under 18) without written parental consent

  6. No copyrighted material (including music) without proper licensing

  7. Please review YouTube’s Terms of Service before submission

Content Suggestions

  1. Clearly state your name and position

  2. Introduce your organization with a concise description

  3. Mention which award category you’re applying for and why you’ve entered this specific award category

  4. Share your greatest business achievement and how it demonstrates your leadership and resilience

  5. Articulate what makes you uniquely qualified as a finalist

  6. Connect your commercial achievements to your strategic vision

  7. Showcase your personal (not just company) efforts supporting other women and the wider community

  8. Add anything else that strengthens your application.

Technical Recommendations

  1. Film in a well-lit, quiet location with minimal background distractions

  2. Consider including brief testimonials

  3. Ensure you enable captions for accessibility

  4. Remember to keep your video under 90 seconds and format it according to the submission requirements
